Freeware SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol), FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and SCP (Secure Copy) client for Windows using SSH (Secure Shell). Its main function is safe copying of files between a local and a remote computer. Beyond this basic function, WinSCP manages some other actions with files.

What you must continue on is making the right choice when you witness the downside of the WinSCP. If you decide not to make it stay, the following is what you can do.

1. Restart your PC first.

2. Press F8 button on your keyboard while you are waiting for the welcome page.

3. Click on Safe Mode and then Enter so that you can enter Safe Mode.

4. Open Start Menu, and then click on Run.

5. Enter appwiz.cpl, and then highlight WinSCP on the list.

6. Click Uninstall, and then follow the instructions to complete the uninstalling.

7. Restart your PC again.

If this seems not being helpful to correct the problem of WinSCP, you need to walk it through the other ways.

1. Download and save the WinSCP uninstaller on its website.

2. Close all applications.

3. Check the taskbar and the system tray to make sure that no user applications are running.

4. Run the uninstaller.

5. Click “Yes” to the message “Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?”

6.Restart your computer.

If the procedures for deletling WinSCP do not work on your computer, you need to take professional uninstaller like Perfect Uninstaller to get around this.

A Perfect Uninstaller firstly detects and lists all the installed programs including WinSCP on your computer. Once you select the program and send out the command to uninstall WinSCP or remove Virtual Desktop Assist. It will provide an option for registry back up and then thoroughly scan the related directories and registry keys. All you need to do is to think about whether confirm the order and all the unwanted program will go away in a few clicks.
